Daikin has supplied a further eight water-cooled chillers to the CERN nuclear research facility for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider which is due to be operational from 2029.
Daikin has recently been involved in the commissioning of three water-cooled R1234ze chiller units at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research and home of the Large Hadron Collider.
A new Daikin refrigerant announced last year as a more efficient alternative to R1234yf in electric vehicles has been designated as R474A by ASHRAE and given an A2L classification.
Daikin has enlarged its oil-free centrifugal chiller range with new increased capacity water-cooled machines running with R134a and R-1234ze(E) refrigerants.
Amongst a host of new products expected this year, Daikin has revealed that its Applied division will launch chillers using the HFO refrigerant R1234ze.
