A synthetic greenhouse gases like CFCs and HCFCs are phased out. The use of alternative low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants has become more common. But some low GWP refrigerants are flammable and may pose a significant danger to people and property if not used safely. The increased use of flammable refrigerants represents one of the biggest changes to affect the refrigeration and air conditioning industry in recent decades.
