FSW to launch CO2 CU at June roadshows
Refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler FSW is to launch a CO2 packaged condensing unit at a series of roadshows next month.
FSW is now stocking the QuietCO2OL CO2 transcritical condensing units launched last year by Carrier group company Profroid. Manufactured in France, the QuietCO2OL units offer a comprehensive capacity range with medium temperature application 0.8-9.1kW and low temperature applications from 0.7 to 6.4kW.
The QuietCO2OL units’ rotary compressor with low vibration transmission results in a low noise level, measured as low as 37dB(A) at 10m. The unit is flexible and can easily be connected to multiple evaporators utilising the built in Carel controller.
FSW will also provide the necessary training, tools and ancillary equipment to make installing, commissioning and servicing CO2 condensing units commonplace.
“QuietCO2OL is an innovative and flexible solution aimed at helping smaller businesses reduce their carbon footprint, noise emissions and energy usage in a more serviceable package,” said FSW commercial director Mark Henderson.
Roadshows
The roadshows, taking place in Newcastle, Birmingham and Southampton, will also update visitors on the latest low GWP refrigerants and advice on tools to use with R32. There will also be a number of prizes to be won, including a full set of R32 tools and FSW CO2 training courses.
Peter Dinnage of refrigerant supplier Climalife will explain the reasons behind the refrigerant price increases in Europe. He will cover the refrigerant quota effect, the refrigerants of the future, and the actions that all contractors and end users should be undertaking.
Remy Prunac, wholesale export manager of Profriod, will describe the new CO2 condensing units, its range, installation, commissioning, servicing and training.
Finally, FSW refrigeration product and marketing manager Robin Green will talk visitors through the tools required for R32, the costs, their use and the risks involved when handling this “mildly flammable” gas.
