Save the date: eurammon Symposium 2018
It is one of the key dates for the refrigeration and air-conditioning branch: on 28 and 29 June, operators, planners, system engineers and an interested trade audience will all come together in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, for the eurammon Symposium 2018.
This year, the main issue will be the challenges arising from statutory provisions such as the F-Gases Regulation and the Ecodesign Directive. International experts will show how refrigeration and air-conditioning systems with natural refrigerants offer an outstanding solution for meeting the increased ecological demands. The participants will gain an insight into current EU legislation and take a look at successful practical examples.
What does the F-Gases Regulation mean in concrete terms for the rating, operation, profitability and future viability of refrigeration systems? And which aspects does a system concept have to consider as a result of the Ecodesign Directive that has become more stringent as from 2018? “Current legislation makes high demands of the environmental compatibility and energy efficiency of a refrigerating system, thus creating excellent general conditions for viable systems with natural refrigerants that are not affected by the F-Gases Regulation”, explains Bernd Kaltenbrunner, Chairman of eurammon.
The event will give participants an overview of current EU legislation. International experts will use specific reference projects to show how systems with natural refrigerants are proving successful in actual operation. More details about the individual papers will be provided soon.
About eurammon
eurammon is a joint initiative of companies, institutions and individuals dedicated to increasing the use of natural refrigerants. As a centre of excellence in the use of natural refrigerants in refrigeration technology, the initiative is committed to providing a platform for sharing information and promoting public awareness and acceptance of natural refrigerants. The objective is to advocate use of natural refrigerants in the interest of a healthy environment and thereby encourage a sustainable approach in refrigeration technology. eurammon provides experts, politicians and the public at large with comprehensive information about all aspects of natural refrigerants, and serves as a qualified contact for anyone interested in the subject. Users and designers of refrigeration projects can turn to eurammon for specific project experience and extensive information, as well as for advice on all matters of planning, licensing and operating refrigeration systems. Established in 1996, the initiative is open to companies and institutions with a vested interest in natural refrigerants, as well as to individuals from a variety of fields such as science and research.
