Green Cooling CO2 for M&S Simply Food
Green Cooling recently provided a 2kW Panasonic CO2 condensing unit for a walk-in freezer at an M&S Simply Food franchise within an NHS hospital.
The project involved the refurbishment of existing areas within the hospitals main entrance to provide an increased level of service for the hospital visitors.
The system supplied included a GTE Enex CO2 medium temperature packaged refrigeration unit, as well as RDM controls for remote monitoring. Green Cooling was also responsible for the cold room structure and associated services.
“Alongside providing a retail environment that delivers the highest level of service to the hospital, a project of this nature also calls for the most practical, efficient and sustainable refrigeration solution, which is why Green Cooling selected the Panasonic CO2 system to provide real benefits,” said Green Cooling’s Garry Broadbent.
Panasonic is not new to this product range, having first launched CO2 units in Japan in 2010. Since then over 8,500 have been installed in Japan in approximately 3,700 stores. Now, following its European launch in late 2017, over 250 units have been sold in Europe.
“The Panasonic range has been specifically developed for small to medium capacity applications within the retail and food service sectors and is particularly suited for installations in small supermarkets, convenience stores and garage forecourt retail operations,” commented Panasonic UK’s head of key accounts Neil Bilton.
